How to remove perspiration odor from clothes
Are the yellowish stains gone but you can still smell the odor even though your clothes just came out of the machine? There are easy and effective ways to remove perspiration odor from clothing.
HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS
In this kind of situation, you need to make up your mind and act. If you don’t have any professional detergent on hand, opt for white vinegar instead . Soak clothing in a solution made of equal parts vinegar and water; rub well under the arms, in the armpit area. In addition to the smell, white vinegar can remove sweat stains.
Avoid using the dryer : heat accentuates odours. Dry at room temperature and use a traditional clothesline. If your machine is equipped with the cold air mode, why not make use of it?
Baking soda is another equally effective option. Simply mix some baking soda with water to make a paste. Once this is done, apply it on the stained parts and leave it on for about an hour. Then put the clothes through the washing machine. To make this solution even more effective, add the equivalent of one tablespoon of baking soda to the wash load.
HOW CAN YOU PERFUME YOUR CLOTHES?
Once you’ve gotten rid of the odors, you can scent your clothes with essential oils. Simply put 15-20 drops of essential oil on a cloth and place it in the drum with your clothes. You can also use scented fabric softeners.
